OMNISFERA tools maintenance instructions.
Our tools are hard-tested in the operational context, revealing high reliability and low maintenance. All our products have a 5-year warranty on all components, including the wooden handle, and with immediate replacement in case of breakage.
Recommendations for cleaning cutting tools:
Use of cloth and fine multipurpose oil, allowing to clean the blades, leaving them with a uniform appearance and protected against oxidation. This procedure is highly recommended for the case of storage for long periods.
Recommendations for sharpening and rectification of cutting surfaces:
OMNISFERA produces cutting elements in two different materials with different sharpening procedures.
IBERUS and RAKE have tempered steel cutting surfaces, while MAGA and MINI-MAC are manufactured from high hardness and anti-wear steel with 450HB (Brinnel hardness).

IBERUS - Use an engineer’s file (flat or half-round) to replace the cutting surface and whetstone for final finishing.

RAKE - Use a flat engineer´s file to recover the sharpening. In case of breakage, this tool allows the replacement of the cutting surfaces separately (see the online shop under Accessories).

MINI-MAC - Using a flap disc grinder (115 or 125mm) grain 80 or higher. The disc should be passed slightly and for short periods of time to avoid excessive heating.

Universal Handles and ARUS are maintenance-free.
